Photos in slides 1 thru 6 show commercial and residential earth retention projects. The commercial project
shown in slides 1 thru 4 was originally designed as a Counterfort retaining wall anchored in bedrock. Extensive finite
element analysis was performed as shown in slide 5 to obtain the most efficient system. Unfortunately, timing for the installation
of these dual generators and vibrations concerns led to a redesign utilizing a soldier beam earth retention system which was still
an effective and workable system.
Slide 7 shows plans of a structural slab-on-grade (SOG) supported by drilled piers
due to poor soil conditions.
